You have to be prepared to discuss anything and everything when it comes to clients and their retirement income strategy. I have come across certain questions that are typical of clients currently preparing to retire and those looking to retire in the future. These questions span anywhere from the right age to retire, to concerns about outliving the their money in retirement, to will they actually have enough money to retire.  A good guide to being prepared to answering questions such as these and addressing misconceptions is the advisors guide called "Rethinking Retirement Income" put together by Brokers' Service Marketing Group. It can be found on the BSMG Learn to Earn Financial Advisor Blog under the title "12 Questions Your Clients Have About Their Retirement Income Strategy".

Let me know what you think and if you have come across any other common questions not addressed here!
