This Bud's for You

Cannabis donations are being offered to furloughed federal employees.

As the government shutdown continues with no end in sight, many federal workers now approaching their second missed paychecks are going to find it difficult to afford even the most essential items.

Thanks to BudTrader.com, the largest cannabis social media platform with nearly 2 million registered users, that list will no longer include pot.

The network recently announced via its official Facebook page that it will donate cannabis to federal employees who are "unable to pay for their medical cannabis due to the Government shutdown."

BudTrader CEO Brad McLaughlin explains, "I don't think federal employees are getting enough love and support; in these tough times, we want to extend the offer of a donation of medical cannabis to any federal worker affected by the shutdown. We only hope our actions inspire larger companies to also try and help federal employees affected by the shutdown."

The official announcement reads: "IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: To any Federal Employee unable to pay for their medical cannabis due to the Government shutdown, BudTrader will donate to you the allowable, legal, limit according to California adult use rules and regulations to help ease your suffering in this difficult time. The donation will be completely confidential. For more information please visit BudTrader.com or email [email protected]. God Bless all Federal Employees, God Bless the Cannabis Community and God Bless the United States of America."

God bless America indeed.
