Army - not to bust your chops, but of course the views on the war change. The loud minorities (extreme liberals and conservatives) are what drive debate in this country.
I will say that in our little rural region of Iraq, we had the same problem as you are talking about in Afghanistan. We built girl-only schools, but people were still trying to target them. To be honest, I take a more isolationist attitude and think we shouldn’t be in either country. But that’s how you get bombed.
As for “Obama lied, they continue to die”. I’ll say the same thing I said when G.W.B. was in office. Less Americans have died in Iraq and Afghanistan combined than in the municipality down the street from me. One soldier dying is too many, but that is what we signed up to do. Make no mistake, it is a dangerous job. But that’s why we are the greatest military on the face of the earth, we train for it.
Personally I think G.W. is a good man and had a difficult job after 9/11. I also think that Obama is a good man, with a tough road ahead of him. I would never want to be POTUS. And I find it difficult to criticize anyone who attempts the job.

That and we spend more on our military than UK, China, France, Japan, and the next ten largest countries combined.
I realize China under reports but my point is still the same.
I couldn't agree with you more brother. I'm an Independent that slants toward the Libertarian Party and agree with taking care of our own house as well but if we just up and leave from both countries right now, complete chaos would ensue. You are absolutely right, that it's a tough situation for anyone to be in. I definitely don't envy the man with the decisions he has to make. What really irks me is that our fellow brothers and sisters in arms are dying over there while these freaking civilians here are worried about Jon & Kate!!! I can't watch any regular news channel without seeing their ugly mugs plastered everywhere. That drives me insane!!Army - not to bust your chops, but of course the views on the war change. George Bush is a classic example of why honest men should never go to Washington. He does so and gets dumped on and drug through the mud for 8 years.
Meanwhile a murderer named Ted Kennedy is held up as an American Hero in Washington. Go figure...
George Bush is a classic example of why honest men should never go to Washington. He does so and gets dumped on and drug through the mud for 8 years.

What he did is beyond comprehension to me but I wouldn't say murderer. Laura Bush killed someone when she ran a stop sign, would she count as a murderer?

George Bush is a classic example of why honest men should never go to Washington.
Only if you're a Democrat. So you bought at 3.00 a share and sold at 2.25? If this is "lucky," I would really like to know what your other investments have done. Next time you lie about the investments you make, you may want to check for splits and reverse splits first.
However I have been doing most of the right things and saving my paychecks and investing into the stock market with it. I only got lucky with aig as i bought in back in March when it was around 3 dollars and selling half my shares at 45 dollars. Other than that my portfolio is all over the place.

I have friends on the extreme right and left who swear they are not crazy when I tell them they're wacko; they think they're normal. The only thing I can find remotely close to my views are the Libertarian party: REALLY low taxes; no govt intrusion into anything that is personal to me or any one else (two dudes want to file a joint tax return, I couldn't care less or whether two consensual adults want to have sex for money, who gives a rat's a**); flex our military power when it's needed and if it's not needed, take care of our own home first; promote good values and morals. This thread is getting way off topic, lolI couldn't agree with you more brother. And speaking for myself, I appreciate it wholeheartedly! I think that is what makes our Armed Forces and our Country so great! Our brave men & woman risk their lives so that American Citizens can go on living theirs! Thank you for your service (Moraen too!)
Army - not to bust your chops, but of course the views on the war change. Since this thread is so far off topic, check out the guy in the video. I love this guy! Capitalism, entrepreneurial spirit and patriotism all in one. I think I’m going to follow his lead and give one away for every $100k I get from a new client.

That video was awesome. If there was a way that ALL GUNS were taken off the streets except for military and law enforcement, I'd have no problem with not being able to carry and bear arms. But since that is impossible, I keep my trigger squeeze and shot group tight.Since this thread is so far off topic, check out the guy in the video. I love this guy! Army, there is no way you have a Libertarian bone in your body with that statement. I don’t need guns to protect myself from fellow citizens … it’s the military and law enforment I’m worried about. aka: government
Long live the kingCompletely off topic but i did not know where to post so here goes… i work in oil and gas and the new company i work for requires series 22 and 63. I am on probation , will that affect my ability to get liscensed? Thanks for any help

Long live the king
I don't trust certain government entities: IRS, Federal Reserve. It's not the military and law enforcement that are stacking up American prisons. It's low lives who have no respect for human life and personal property and who don't deserve to breathe the same air we do. We should put all felons on one freaking island, drop weapons with them and let them sort each other out.
I think its funny that prison over-crowding is such an issue. What does a new prison cost? $100mm, max? We spend that in court costs to get peoples sentences reduced every day. I say we bite the bullet, build 50 new prisons and call it a day.

The English had the right idea. Find a continent a half a world away. Populate it with the people you don't want. Sounds like Antarctica to me.
