Managing Director, Atlantic Trust Private Wealth Management
Paulina Mejia is a wealth strategist in Atlantic Trust's New York office, with more than 13 years of trusts and estates practice and advisory experience working with high net worth clients and related tax-exempt institutions. Paulina works directly with clients and their advisors to develop and implement charitable, estate and wealth transfer and management planning as part of Atlantic Trust's integrated wealth management process. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Paulina was a wealth planner with Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.'s New York wealth management office, where she worked with clients and their advisors to develop wealth transfer and business succession plans. Previously, she practiced at the law firm of Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP in New York. Paulina received her Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College. She serves on several boards and committees including the editorial advisory board and the Family Business Committee for Trusts & Estates magazine and the Non-Tax Issues Affecting the Planning and Administration of Estates and Trusts Section of the American Bar Association's Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law, of which she is a vice chair. Paulina is also a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and a former member of its Estate and Gift Taxation Committee. She is also actively involved in the Public Preparatory Network's Leadership Council in New York City, which she co-founded.
