There's a new professional in town, and he just might know more about your elderly clients than you do. He's the Registered Financial Gerontologist (RFG). According to the American Institute of Financial Gerontology, these specialists learn to use “relevant teachings from biology, psychology, sociology and demography to understand the lifelong wealth span issues” of aging folks and their families. More than 100 RFGs were certified in the past year — half by the Institute.
