Managing Risk and Avoiding a Client Crisis in Life Insurance

Tuesday, June 6, 2017 | 2:00 p.m. ET

Archived versions of WealthManagement.com webinars are available on demand 24 hours after broadcast.

As a result of sustained reduced interest rates and neglect on the part of the amateur trustees who have no knowledge nor skills about what needs to be done to manage a life insurance policy funding an irrevocable life insurance trust or special needs trust, an increasing number of individually owned or trust owned life Insurance is expiring prematurely. Further exacerbating an already deteriorating situation, a growing number of life Insurance companies are now exercising their contractual right to increase their internal cost of insurance.

The speakers will provide an overview of the life insurance lapsing policy crisis, including the reasons for it. They'll also cover risk mitigation options, as well as the need for intervention and the form it should take.
