As Managing Director of Client Experience, Kara Duckworth leads the development and implementation of our client experience, bringing together a cross-departmental effort to ensure our client experience enhances our client engagement and drives continued retention. The client experience strategy focuses on a client’s first 24 months with Mercer Advisors including on-boarding, welcoming, and the initial financial planning meeting. Post on-boarding, Kara works with our Business Intelligence team to monitor client satisfaction (Net Promoter Score Surveys) and ensure advisors connect with clients to quickly address any concerns raised. As part of the broader client experience effort, Kara manages our client advisory board, a cross-section of our client base who acts as a sounding board and provides feedback on client-related experiences with Mercer Advisors.
Don Calcagni is Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Mercer Advisors and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. As CIO, he is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the firm’s investment platform and the prudent stewardship of the firm’s assets under management. In addition, Don chairs the firm’s investment committee, takes an active role in ensuring clients from acquired firms are appropriately integrated into our model portfolios, and oversees all investment-related communications. He and his team work closely with each advisor across our company, supporting and advising them day-to-day on client strategy and issues as they arise.
Dave Welling, our CEO, was brought into Mercer Advisors in mid-2017 to accelerate growth and build a wealth management organization for the future. His leadership has reshaped the organization, our technology and investment platforms, and the infrastructure to support our growth. To accomplish this, Dave has focused on six areas of investment in order to enhance the client experience, improve advisor productivity, and drive future growth: people & culture, centralized teams’ expansion, client segmentation, direct to consumer marketing, technology and digital transformation, and M&A integration and unification. During his time at the helm, we have more than tripled the number of offices, employees, and assets under management, not to mention increased satisfaction, retention, and share of wallet.
