California Team Leaves UBS and sets up RIA TriaGen

The four-person team led by father and son Nick and Bryan Garris has left UBS and set up shop in Calabasas, Calif.

TriaGen Wealth Management, a $330 million, four-person advisory team based in Calabasas, Calif., announced Monday that it has left UBS and opened up as an independent RIA with the help of MyTruClarity Management Solutions, a transition and business support firm from Tampa, Fla.

TriaGen is led by father and son Nick and Bryan Garris and Orlo Elfes, all founding partners. Client services associate Leslie Sagers is the firm’s operations manager.

“Becoming an independent fiduciary was a natural progression that aligns with our priorities as a family-run business,” said the younger Garris in a statement.

TriaGen said it provides personalize financial planning and portfolio management to business owners, executives and families. The firm's custodian and brokerage relationships are with TD Ameritrade and M.S. Howells.

TruClarity helps assists advisors in going independent and provides back-office solutions once they do so.
