Mariner Wealth Advisors Opens Salt Lake City Office

The new location is the 42nd office and Mariner's first in Utah.

Overland Park, Kan.–based Mariner Wealth Advisors has opened its 42nd location in Salt Lake City, the firm’s first office in Utah. It marks the 26th state in which the independent registered investment advisor has a foothold.

The move into Utah is part of a broader effort to solidify a presence in the surrounding region, with the firm having already established offices in Arizona and Colorado. Senior wealth advisor Mark Dickamore has 16 years of experience in the industry and opened the new location with the guidance of Eddie Dulin, the managing director at Mariner’s office in Scottsdale, Ariz.

“We saw a growing demand for a 360-degree approach to the unique wealth management needs of local Salt Lake City clients and are eager to share our integrated and personalized knowledge to help them navigate their future,” Dickamore said.

Mariner Wealth Advisors, founded in 2006 and headed by CEO Marty Bicknell, is one of the largest independent RIAs in the country, with $35 billion in assets under advisement. Earlier this year, the firm partnered with Dynasty Financial Partners in order to create a channel for advisors wishing to affiliate with Mariner while continuing to own their business (the firm simultaneously announced it had taken a minority stake in Dynasty).

“I am proud of the growth milestones our firm has continued to achieve, as we expand into the West Central territory and stake a presence in a new state,” Bicknell said. “I believe our growth is a direct result of the exceptional client-first service and advice our people provide.”
