Colorado Firm With $200 Million in AUM Joins LPL

The two financial advisors with I.M. Wealth Care claimed LPL's tech options, including its ClientWorks platform, made it a logical partner.

A Colorado-based registered investment advisory firm with about $200 million in managed brokerage, advisory and retirement plan assets is joining with LPL Financial, the broker/dealer announced today. I.M. Wealth Care, which includes financial advisors Parker Inabnet and Kate Redden, will be aligned with Merit Financial Group, a firm that supports LPL-affiliated advisors.

The firm joined LPL from 1st Global, an affiliate of Blucora. According to Inabnet, LPL’s platform and product offerings made it an enticing partner to serve their clients, which includes medical professionals, business owners, families and retirees.

“Kate and I share a common view on the importance of building a financial plan for each client before we even start managing assets,” Inabnet said. “We really appreciate the integrated technology and the ease of navigation within ClientWorks and Account View, which is what our clients see to track their portfolio. We love that we can pull different reports and performance numbers from one system.”

Inabnet began his own Colorado-based RIA 12 years ago at the age of 26. He partnered with Redden in 2016. Prior to joining Inabnet, Redden worked with a large Atlanta-based RIA firm but welcomed the chance to be at a local firm in Colorado. In addition to the two advisors, the team includes three support staff members and three certified public accountants.

Earlier this month, LPL acquired Financial Solutions Group (with about $1 billion in assets under management) from FSC Securities, and a week prior LPL had recruited SecondHalf Coach Wealth Management, a Pennsylvania firm with approximately $210 million in AUM. September was also a busy month for the broker/dealer, adding a Las Vegas-based firm with $300 million in assets and a Virginia firm with $150 million in AUM from Ameriprise, as well as a New Jersey-based independent advisor with $150 million in managed assets.
