SagePoint Financial, one of Advisor Group’s independent broker/dealers, has added a Mason City, Iowa-based advisor with $115 million in client assets. John Ressler joins SagePoint from LPL Financial.
Ressler joined LPL through its acquisition of National Planning Holdings’ b/d SII Investments in 2018.
This marks SagePoint’s 14th advisor recruit over the last six months of the year, totaling $518 million in new client assets. Many of those advisors joined through super offices of supervisory jurisdiction, or large branches.
Advisor Group penned a deal in November to acquire Ladenburg Thalmann and its five broker/dealers through a cash merger, creating a b/d network with 11,500 advisors and over $450 billion in assets.
