The Bill Good System is a license to use their product and not the software itself.  You might be asking for some serious trouble.  Buy at your own risk.

Bill Good will act to protect his contract rights.

  Wanting to buy a used edition shows a basic lack of understanding of what the system is and how it works. What you are trying to do is akin to trying to buy a salvage car. It may look like a shiny new Benz, but it sure won't act like one.   Bill good's system cost what it does because it's worth the money. Pony up and fly to Utah!

Couple of other downsides to what you are proposing:   1)  You wouldn't have access to the letters library -- sure whatever you purchased would likely have some of the letters downloaded and saved, but you would have no access to new or additional letters.  And this is a particularly valuable part to the system. 2)  You won't have access to their Tech Support.  We went through a period a couple of years ago, where our system kept crashing.  No idea why -- their tech people were unbelievable in saving our data and getting the problem fixed.  I can't even imagine putting in all that data, using the system, with a risk that it could all crash and I would lose everything.
