Does anybody know how UBS stacks up in the eyes of FAs compared to the other big wirehouses in terms of broker support, field support, training marketing, compensation, etc.

This is probably the number 2 most common thread here.  Number one would be all the Jones bashing threads.

Search function should be used for this question big time...in fact there should be stickies of all the threads concerning the different firms and our collective opinions of them.

UBS is as fine a firm as any of the wirehouses.  Not my personal favorite (actually it's close to last on my list of the top brokerages), but offers a broad and comprehensive platform for building a financial practice and reads much better than ED JONES, Ameriprise, Waddell & Reed or Gunn Allen on a business card when dealing with money.
