I have insight on the role and reponsibilities for anyone pursuing this opportunity.
not a recruiter, former employee. They are trying to do hybrid approach, or dual hats process...They have a captive mkt of 403b and 401a plan assets as a retirement provider for higher education.
Basically, its catch and release financial planning..profile clients, consolidate all business, hand over to junior brokers in call centers to service accounts going forward...
weird culture, insurance company at its core, being slaughtered by Fido and Vanguard in its core space.
They are the absolute WORST to deal with. Rollovers are a nightmare (because of the whole TIAA/CREF asset split thing), and teachers, for some reason, swear by them. I can't stand dealing with clients that have them.
the paperwork is a retention tool, they try to wear you out..
the back office staff complicates even more, becuase half kant spel and enterprit other's writing

Like the Eagles ref, it also applies to the two-tier EIA sold by the pound in 2000-2008. I have not found many that really benefited from them.
