Does anyone have any input on being a producing manager?

What area?

Ahhhhhh…, let’s see…do I really want to collect $100,000 or more in salary…on top of my production…I don’t know.

I was a producing manager, and if I do it again please kill me.

Moneyadvisor,

I know not all producing managers get $100,000 plus their production.  Some firms won't allow producing managers and other pay their managers crap and they keep all of their production.

Amen to that, RightWay!

I've been an offsite as well as onsite OSJ, and I don't care for a repeat of either experience.

Help - I am no expert on Management…I guess there are probably some gigs that are better than others. I’m sure it depends on the company, and actual title. We have 2 Resident managers for 2 different offices locally, who clip a hundy plus production, …and they are managing established 20 year vets…not a bad deal.

I was at Jones for 5 years in good standing. A guy I doorknocked  was a CEO of a credit union. He offered me the job after I kept going back to his house. I negotiated a salary between 70k & 90k, total health care and dental for entire family. Phone and postage as well. I fired their broker/dealer after interviewing three others. I currently use SIGMA. Currently earn salary, commissions/management fees and a piece of the other brokers commissions. It’s agreat situation. I literally thank the Lord everyday. 'Jones was a great training ground but I never drank the Kool Aid. Amen.
