Move to a bank or credit union

I'm thinking of moving when my three year E/J commitment is up. Rather than fight over assets, I'm thinking of just going the bank or credit union route. A 40 hour week for the next five years, then retirement is looking real good right now. I hate the idea of building a book here, just so some newbie will take it over when I leave.
I went another yet similiar route. I am independent yet have space at a bank. I am not an employee of the bank yet we get some referral opportunities.

Can you provide more details... Where? When? How? Why? tks
