There’s a name from the past.  Elaine Garzarelli was a very bright quantitative sector analyst who predicted the big crash in 87 a week or so before it happened.  She became a household word and Shearson insisted that she run her own mutual fund, or UIT, don’t remember which, but it bombed.  The last I heard she was running her own company and selling a newsletter out of her NYC home.  But that was years ago.  Is she still in the biz?

most analaysts like her never change their opinion. she’s the anti financial system pundit.

Jim Rogers-inflation pundit

Roubini-deflation pundit

Peter Shiff-anit US dollar pundit

Nick Murray-equity pundit.

most of these people never change their opinion, so at one point or another they will look “right”

Meredith Whitneys hubby is former WWE (WWF for us old farts) champ Bradshaw, guess she enjoys a good pile driving every once in a while.

Meredith Whitney has told her story effectively for about a year or two and she’ll be forgotten soon. Remember Garzarelli, Granville, etc… Give her credit- she made her call and it was right and she’ll play it out until she drives over a cliff.
