is it just me or is lpl really trying to grow in size a great deal just like every other firm now. I get crap in the mail almost daily from them and phone calls for recruitment. How long until they are just  like every other firm?

  And B8400, LPL is attempting to go public in the next few years, and firms are often measured by # of brokers.  Often when you see an acquisition, you will see the cost in terms of $$ per advisor (for example, I think WACH paid about $1mm per advisor for AGE).   And they are the same as every other major firm right now - trying like crazy to grow.  I get at least one piece of mail a month from them.
