I don't think getting fired is such the blessing you think it is. Yeah, you won't have to pay back the training costs, but that's about the only positive.  If you are going to another firm, they won't like the fact that you were fired for cause.  Also, if you're "sitting on your hands," then your production will plummet.  What if it takes Jones 5 months to fire you?  Maybe it's just me, but I don't think WACH would want a broker who was fired for cause, and only did $50,000 gross in the past 12 months.
