Hi there,
I’m guessing you are confused.
Only other way I'd see it would be one of two things, or both... 1. You would only be allowed to sell funds from a fund family that has some type of revenue sharing agreement with Farmer's, and/or... 2. They keep all of your trails, forever, and you are constantly looking for new business.
Thanks for your response. You are correct ... I stay in a constant state of confusion so I'm sure this is no exception.
In response ....
1. There is a list of approx 12 fund families I would be allowed to sell from. American Funds, Franklin Templeton, MFS, Oppenheimer are a few that I remember.
2. No I would get paid trails.
After so much practice due to merger issues, it takes so damn long now. Oh well. Blood test for what?
The only explanation would be that Farmers would make up the difference. Companies like AF are not going to change their commission structure for anybody, especially a firm like Farmers. Of course, Farmers making up the difference makes no sense either. I would ask again as the most obvious answer is something is amiss.
Oh, I thought it was for work or something logical like that. I would also appreciate some pictures if a)your a chick and b)it only takes one picture to get all of you in the shot.

Across the board ... 4% gross.
A couple of Indies told me that their companies do negotiate for the best terms with MF companies so can there be variations in pay out to B/Ds? Again I am clueless. If this is true, I'd think that a company like EJ would be able to swing better terms than Farmers (a company that has been in financial services for only 7 years!)
My main question is .... is it possible that EJ is actually being paid 4% or more by the fund companies? I have always believed that the gross we calculate net from is actually what Jones nets from the fund families. Am I wrong? Do they get paid more and are simply lowering the gross for net calcs?
Read a prospectus, the answer is there. BTW, you are screwing up a perfectly good attempt to solicite pictures.

Kinda sums it all up in 4 words.
So are you hot at least?

Am I hot? Yes I am very hot but that has nothing to do with why I’m here. I am here as a professional reaching out to, what I thought, were other professionals. I asked legitimate questions and got one helpful answer in an IM. Thank you to the gentleman who did reply in such a kind and helpful way. To the rest of you jokers … grow up.
