Can anyone give me some inside info on the Morgan Stanley retail brokerage business?   How’s the
atmosphere, training, support, pay out, benefits, reputation, etc. I
would like to hear from some people that are currently working for the
firm. Thanks.

I just started at MS, and so far it has been great. Unlike smaller
firms, they don’t talk much about themselves in interviews and "public"
websites because they don’t NEED to; they are one of the top 3
financial services firms in the US, with a known track record.

The environment is very entrepreneurial - a “go and get it mentality” -
which works great for me. I am not in production yet, but payout seems
average, benefits are great, and reputation is excellent with investors.

Best luck.

I’ve heard mixed reviews, I know a few brokers and a few different offices and I here different views, it is very important to know which office you will work in and the people that will be there, remember these are all franchises, so just because Mcdonalds makes a good burger it doesn’t mean every location is the same, do your research and make sure you speak to people who work in the specific branch you are considering, environment means alot.

All franchises?  Are you really that stupid?

Yes each branch has its own personality, created largely by the branch
manager and the others who work there, but they are part of the overall
corporate machine…not a franchise.  Please…

If you don't think Mcdonalds is a corporate machine you are fooling yourself, my point was make sure you know your branch.  The people are the most important.

Sounds like I touched a sore spot.  Sorry you little bitch.
