I know folks at CW. It has won numerous awards for being the best indy bd. They have a great clearing firm partner with NFS, division of Fidelity, leave you alone, have significant tech resources and desks, and give you access to pretty much anything a retail rep would need. They are privately owned, and the original owners are still actively involved. The number of reps is just right too, a bit over 1000. The folks I know there, have zero complaints. There was another thread on this subject a while back, you might look for it.

Guys look at the URL/Website.  He's not talking about Commonwealth Financial Network, he's talking about some division of Mass Mutual.  I would avoid insurance owned BDs unless you do mostly life insurance business.

This looks like just an insurance agency that is affiliated with MassMutual.  Run away unless you mostly want to do insurance.
