I’m checking out today at noon to clear my head, it’s been a long two weeks and I need an afternoon of no suit and tie.  I hate when recruiters call me and offer the world, it screws with your head. Back at it Monday.

Who is coming in the office on the holiday to make calls?  Heck, I might even do some afternoon doorknocking. I'll post my numbers Monday night.
Sep 4, 2009 4:20 pm

You still never posted your numbers from the 30 day war.  Get on it, chief!

I'm not planning on working Monday but I probably should be.  We'll see if I'm hungover Monday Morning or not.  I'm going to visit the old man Sunday and that usually involves heavy drinking so we'll see.

I wouldn’t make calls, but I’ve been told you can catch everyone at home.  Great day to doorknock.  Don’t wear a suit, go business casual.

They are there BB … Behind about 20 comments from Windy bragging about his unbooked numbers. Get your azz to work Monday, even if it’s only for a few hours.

Henry … good call on the business casual.  I’ll do that. Going to call people that I’ve had issues getting in touch with, I’ve got a list of about 25 of them.

Hellz nah…No work Monday. Take a breather. You work hard Volt. Give yourself a Holiday.

Sep 4, 2009 10:25 pm

Good advice but I screwed around too much this week.

Sep 4, 2009 10:29 pm

f*** it…Relax…You’ll get back on track Tues.

I don’t plan on working this weekend…you know, it’s a holiday!

Good idea, we wouldn’t want your family to think you’ve gone insane. Mine is used to me working on the weekends now.

Still … have you decided on your next failure? If so, what’s your plan to make it work?

lol…I think he is shooting for the Cell phone Kiosk in the mall. Hell of a sales job!

Sep 5, 2009 12:49 am

I’m making another visit to NML on Monday and then I’m going to decide.
It’s between NML, Guardian and another company.

btw…things got so bad for you, windy, last time you were here, why did you ever come back…
should I give a call to your boa on tuesday saying I got your application at the cell phone kiosk and that I want you to start work today!!!

Sep 5, 2009 1:10 am

… and what is your plan to stick around this time? Are you still prospecting? Networking?

Wow. Voltmoie is 6 months in and he has all of the answers.  He believes he is the captain of hard work and has made it.

4 months in … Let’s be accurate. Simply asking Still what his plan is - never offered suggestions.

Make sure to pick up doughnuts for your branch manager on your way in today, Ron.

Gotta back windy on this one.  How are you going to get fired from a company for lack of production when the requirements are a joke then ridicule someone else who's hitting all the numbers.  You sound like that friend everyone had in high school that tried too hard to give a quick zing to someone and it just came off flat and everyone kinda rolled their eyes and slowly turned away.
Sep 7, 2009 8:19 pm

Well, I got on here to post about how I am working today and wishing I wasn’t because I have accomplished zilch, but then I just called a prospect who I hadn’t called yet (over 800 so it’s kind of hard to get to them all!) and its this sweet elderly guy that tells me he has been trying to figure out how to get ahold of me to talk about his accounts, since he’s not happy where he’s at. We set an appt for later this week. It’s nice to hear that someone was actually actively thinking about you just from that first doorknock. I was kind of freaking out because my calendar is starting to thin out way more than I am comfortable with. Nobody wants to meet for 3-4 weeks out for various reasons. (surgery, death in the family, etc., apparently I bring bad karma to those I doorknock. )

Well, I'm heading out for the day, quitting while I am ahead. Then again, I could ride the wave of confidence this gave me... Maybe just a few more calls.
Sep 7, 2009 9:38 pm

Worked for 2.5hrs, made 7 new contacts and was able to set up 1 appt. for tomorrow.

Good job, Ms. Broker … young prospects think today is a holiday.  Just another day for the retirees.

Wasn't trying to be funny...just remembering when Windy was deleting all his 650 posts (one at a time), he hired a security guard for his kid's elementary school, he put a fence around his EJ office and he entered the Witness Protection Program only to come back 2 month later as Ronnie Dobbs and spewing the same garbage that got him in trouble in the first place...He's like the Sammy "The Bull" Gravano of Edward Jones...

As for me...NML interview tomorrow (not Monday) and then I'm going to decide between my 3 offers.
