I’m getting ready to start training in the Wachovia PCG program.  Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect?  For those that been through it recently, are there any pointers you can give me (what you liked/didn’t like, etc)?  You can PM me too.

  Thanks, New Dude

Go into it with your eyes open. Forget the networking tract shtick. At this point drink the koolaide with gusto.

Any questions that are more specific?

Thanks.  I know the last 12 weeks of training I have to open 24 new accounts and I’ll go to St. Louis twice for a week.  When I was interviewing with the BOM the only thing we ever talked about was compensation and the hurdles.  I don’t really have any specific questions, I was just curious as to what I would be doing for the next 21 weeks.

Where are you located? Locally all hiring for the training program has been cut off for 2009. I find it interesting that this differs elsewhere.

Work your tail off to get started quickly and just keep up the pace as long as possible.

I’m in the South.  I started the process back in early March and was made an offer shortly after that.  In April he contacted me and said we need to speed up the process becuase the firm had just anounced limits on the number of new FAs allowed into each session.  So, to answer your query, I think I was hired before the cut off was set.
