I have studied since October using STC, and have taken the exam twice and fialed. Each time, I was averaging 86+ on my practice Q&A and Closed Book exams. I have a 3rd strike and your out policy, so I need to pass the 3rd time. Any suggestions on other study materials that are better? I've been looking at Kaplan and TC. I appreciate your suggestions in advance.

I recently passed the 65 using STC. How are you studying? Have you made flash cards for the material/questions you don’t know? Are you looking at the diagnostic reports and re-reading carefully the chapters you’re not doing well on?

At this point you might actually be better getting new material just because if you’re getting 86+ on the exams there’s a good chance you just memorized some answers and thats inflating your scores. I’d recommend really learning the material you don’t know and mess around with some of the Investopedia exams.I can’t speak for any other study material as I only used STC but from what I’ve read TC is the favorite.

Anyway good luck, study hard the right way and you’ll pass.

Ask your firm if you can sit for the 66 instead. My firm and my old firm made people sit for the 66 as opposed to the 65 even though people already had their 63’s because the pass rates are so low on the 65. Look into this and best of luck to you!
