What would you expect from a board of "Boiler Room" wannabes?

Even the hucksters in "Glengarry Glen Ross" have more professionalism and class.

Exactly. At first, I too was annoyed by what complete and total ***holes a lot of the people on this board are. Another example is how everytime anybody asks just about any question, they are told in a smart alec way to "use the search function, moron." People new to the board don't know about the search function, moron. Then I came to the realization this is a board full of white collar sales people. What else should I have expected other than huge egos and complete and total self-absorbtion?

Hey Rookie if you're going to succeed in this business you are going to need to be less sensitive, learn to handle it better when you hear answers that aren't exactly what you wanted, and constantly be open to new strategies for success(like learning to use a "search" button).

So, if y'all don't know about the search button, and we see the same damn posts all the time with the same basic functions, what is wrong with us telling you that it is there and to use it?  Are we not being sweet enough to you when we suggest you use it?  AWWWWWWWWW  Guess what I've seen far worse treatment on other boards, including some which having nothing to do with this industry.

Grow up you whiner!

Now you've got it.  Understand this and you will be able to cope with the wirehouse environment.

2 things:

1.) I was not whining. I was validating somebody else's points. I have gotten use to the fact that you're a jerk and realize that I should expect it.

2.) You're the biggest jerk on this site and whenever I think about people who are completely unnecessarily rude to other posters because they have their head way too far up their @$$, I think of you first.

Is there anything I can do to knock Joe out of the "biggest jerk" spot?

Yes you were whining.  You were "validating" another whiner, which by extension means you were whining.  You'll find plenty of people like that in a wirehouse office who want to waste your time bitching about the long list of EXTERNAL reasons for their failure(stupid BOM, annoying clients, tough market, the regulators, etc).  It's your choice whether to waste your time whining with them or avoid them and do what you need to do to succeed.

If being honest is what makes me a jerk in your eyes, then I guess I'm a jerk.  I don't need your approval to be happy with my circumstances.

It is actually a direct quote from my 4 year old from a few hours earler, except her big brother's name isn't Joe.  Sometimes it just writes itself.
