ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A TUTOR IN THE NY/NJ AREA?
Ah, didn’t go so very well huh?
What did you do, study for half an hour or so like so many of the nimrods suggested?
STC classes helped when i took it. But the key to pass the series 7 is to take as many practice exams as possible and going over the ones you got wrong. Good luck.
Dearborn 7 with CD is awesome! When you take the tests you can review by sub chapter inside each unit. I think this really lets you focus on areas or questions that are problems.
Good luck!
At the office I have a list of tutors in the tri-state area.
They’re going to charge you somewhere between $250 and $450 per
hour–with a two hour minimum.
By comparison you should be able to return to STC–you did go to an STC
class, right?–for no charge. They do several classes at The
Battery simultaneously–get in a different class, different instructor,
hear it presented a different way.
And give up on the “Can’t I do this without studying” point of
view. When you were posting a few weeks ago it was obvious that
you were going to fail–did you break 50%?
Ignore Put Trader. We all do.
The Dearborn class is OK, but the Pass Perfect system is more at the difficulty level of the actual test.
I took the test recently after 5 weeks reading the Pass Perfect text books and 1 week of the Dearborn class. I scored 75. 6 weeks total study time.
good luck.
Seventy five? You studied for six weeks, including a class, and you still missed more than sixty questions?
Why you're an absolute genius--worthy of all of us stopping to heed what you have to say.
If you need a tutor to pass the series 7, methinks you should consider altneratives?
"Would you like some fries with that?"
seriously, though…it’s the entry-level test…and then you have to
survive in the real world after using a tutor to help you pass?
There’s no tutors to sit there and help you with clients…
Jodabarker is right. In the end it is you who has to put in the time and hit the books. Outline the chapters. When you get a question wrong, write out the correct answer. Good luck.
