I set 5 appts, 2 of them with brand new people and delivered a life policy and got a referral to the man’s parents.  I also made some courtesy calls to some folks as well and after follow-ups to 3 stalled cases moved 2 of the time wasters from “in progress” to the “call in 2010” file drawer and moved 1 of them forward to a selling appt 2 weeks from now.

What are we calling on today?

Nothing.  Today is the opener for gun deer season.  I haven’t hunted since high school but I don’t want my clients and prospects knowing that.  I just went in and got my calls lined up for Monday and mailed some followup letters.

Got back on the horse again today 9-11:30 and banged out probably 25-30 calls to a variety of existing clients, existing prospects, new prospects, old leads that had gone dead, etc and walked away with:

1 appt to open 2 Roth IRA’s with an a husband and wife insurance client (those of you who do not lead with insurance may not know that this can be a difficult bridge to cross)

2 1st appts set with old leads that had been left for dead

*and an update on one of my Saturday calls from a month ago, we did move an old $20k IRA VA into C-share asset allocation funds.  So not a big sale, but an extra sale nonetheless and a new customer (DIY’er on his other finances) to hopefully turn into a client someday.  All created by putting in some extra effort on a Saturday Morning.

Today started off slow but it ended up with some great momentum.  I have 2 Roth IRA sales on the calendar and a small fixed annuity.
