quick question here, i am taking my series 7 in about a week. now when i was offer a job, the website and the add that got me into the firm said this: starting salary 30,000yr plus bonus. Now the question is what is the bonus. i’ve heard it’s a end of the year bonus, or like a bonus you get when you pass the 7. any answers on this and what i can look for. thanks

The bonus is a check.

You probably won’t get a bonus for passing the 7, that’s the minimum requirement for the job, along with getting dressed and showing up at the office.
Your bonus is probably based on production of some kind, a combination of new assets and first year gross commissions.

it would help if you’d mention the firm name, this way someone who works there could tell you specifically when you get said bonus… thinking is hard.

Why would you go to work for a firm and not know how you get paid?

Yea what the hell? Who spends months studying for an exam and THEN wonders what the pay is? What firm posts the salary on their website?
