Why do they block out “John Hanc***”, but “asshole” and “bitch” are OK?

And why doesn’t it automatically censor out every word that windbag 3574 writes?
Wow a type-o…You get an -A in Retard school…

I wonder if you would continue to use this word if your own child was mentally handicapped.

Why don't you post some positive stuff Ron and quit telling everyone else that who they are and what they do is worthless. It doesn't make you a better advisor or a better person. It just makes you some Asshole who sits at their computer and stalks threads, waiting for another type-o so you can tell them how they can't spell, or someone who passed their 7 so you can tell them that its a worthless accomplishment or a newbie kickin ass so you can laugh with your cheeto fingers and call them a liar, or a failure. Which isn't too shy of some of those guys on that TV show i like to call, "To Catch a Predator". You constantly preach about people wanting self-fulfillment but I don't think any post on this site is more self righteous than your bitter, sh*tty posts. I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure you took the damn test too, and you probably squealed like a bitch when you passed. To someone who is making a life-changing career move, hoping it will feed their kids its a big f***ing deal, so let someone else have a little sense of accomplishment and shut your god damn mouth.
I'm sure your wife would love to hear you use this phrase.  I cuss like a sailor also, but man, clean it up a little.  It makes you sound ignorant.

End Post....
Wind- I know for you passing the 7 was an absolute miracle, but I think for most of us it was just something we needed to do, we took the test and moved to the next step.

I hope you don't reproduce, but if you do I am sure you will be one of the clowns at the Jr. High Graduation yelling and screaming that your child graduated while 99% of the parents sit quietly knowing that this is an irrelevant step forward.

Ron it isn’t often that I agree with Wind but I do here.  Did you tell no one when you passed the 7?  I’ll bet that you did.

CONGRATS DIANNA!!!   It is a big step!  It is only the first step!  Keep moving forward.
Ron,   How can it be irrelevant?  If you don't pass this exam you have to delay the start of your career in this profession.

I really can't believe that in this ball busting industry, where there is so much to learn and so much effort needed to even have a chance at succeeding that you guys view the 7 as an accomplishment.

Like most, after being out a little bit you look back and don't think it's much of an accomplishment. It's sort of like $100,000 sounded like a lot of money when you started, but is relatively meaningless compared to the size of a book you can live on.

With that said, isn't the pass rate on the 7 less than 50%?
Jun 2, 2009 2:56 pm

I have no idea what the pass rate is. I work with some bankers who passed the test, but cannot explain to me what a mutual fund is. This is why it doesn’t impress me.

Jun 2, 2009 3:10 pm

Like I said, if you don’t pass it you don’t become a licensed advisor.  You have no ability to make the type of money you do, doing what you do, without it.  THAT is why it is an accomplishment.  It isn’t that it is hard, it is that it is the first step in this career.

Jun 2, 2009 3:16 pm

For what it’s worth for those inquisitive minds, the estimated pass rate seems to be between 60-70%.

Jun 2, 2009 3:17 pm

when I took it the national pass rate was 63%.

woohoo, I'm in the top 37 percentile!

Well as of February this girl already had her 6, 63 and life/health licenses and was the top producer in her region, so its not like this girl is straight out of the starting gate.

And most advisors here still don’t understand how a marginal tax works either.
