I am a college student currently in the interview process of becoming a Northwestern Mutual intern (financial representative). I went to the first interview and they loved me, and next week I will go in for the second interview.

I am wondering what kind of background checks they do on interns? They gave me a sheet to fill and return asking the normal pre-hiring questions such as "have you ever been convicted of a felony", "have you ever been charged with a misdemeanor"...etc. I know a lot of companies have you fill similar sheets out, yet do not do background checks other than arrest records.

Any experiences or knowledge of what background checks Northwestern Mutual uses for interns?
