First and foremost, thank you for looking. Essentially here is the problem I need advice for. I have the series 7 test in 12 days. I have been only using the stc materials, and consistently reading over the book. The only problem I have is that by the time i have read to the end of the book I have forgotten much of what is in the begining or vice versa. I havent touched the tests yet. I also have the passperfect exams. Should I forget trying to look over the book all the time and go right to testing and learn this way? Or should I try to reread the books chapters and understand those that I have forgotten? I have been told to forget the book and only use it as a reference as I test (i.e., go through the tests once with the q and a method, then take the tests over again) I need to pass this test. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Keep taking the tests until you throw-up. The PassPerfect questions are a bit harder than the actual test but they will help you understand the concepts. Forget the book - it’s good for one read only. If you’re not getting a concept and not understanding the explanation of an answer read that section of the book over again. My.02

thank you. Thats exactly what im going to do. Just keep taking the tests and and understanding why the answers are the way they are. If i dont understand the answer then i will go to the book. THanks!!

Exactly.  Stop readin gand get to work on the practice exams.  That's the only way you can isolate what you still don't know.....

The exams make all the difference. You’re going to see some of the very same questions on the real test. Good luck.

You should have been taking tests instead of reading the book all along.  Did you take a one week prep course?

Either way.  Put down the book and DO NOT EVER READ IT AGAIN.

Take tests and read the rationale for the answers that you missed.  Repeat.

You MUST understand what the questions are asking.  You MUST understand the logic of the question.  You MUST understand the thought process and rationale necessary to determine the correct answer.

STC material is too easy!! try taking the dearborn or passperfect if you want to pass the actual exam... read the book, but do practice exams repeatedly while referring to the book for back up explanations!

do all th finals around 3 to 4 times before sitting the actual test!
