Ask for some samples like 100 before you buy.

Ask for names of referrals from their customers

Find out if YOU got the name first and how long it will be EXCLUSIVE to you.

Good idea on the referrals!

Also, if they give you the name of a guy who lives under a bridge as a lead, can you swap it for a qualified lead?

Spoke with the dude from the lead company...gave me a Merrill broker who spoke highly of the leads....prolly his roomate that he will buy a beer for later...
