Dashampersand must be so proud to have taken the bait, hook, line and sinker.

Tuneupboy too.

I’ve spent enough time tossing baited hooks into my posts to feel
confident about whether or not Putsy is a SVP at a major wirehouse. I
want to play “20-questions” and I only have one made-up rule to add to
the usual yes or no nature of the game.  What do you say Putsy??
Wanna rumble? The rule will not ask you to expose anything that would
require more research then a quick google or be readily retrievable
within forty feet of most any SVP office, of a Major-Major 30 year
conquistador, in one of Wall Streets pillars of trade or con’sumpin.

You can even have old Joy help out. I’ll fly solo on the questioning.
Just think how the headlines will read “Wall Street Matador slays
plaided bull-sheeter.”  We can iron out the trivial details within
a couple of posts. What do ya say, Campeon?

I should be selling tix to this event. Better yet, making book.

Putsy, just so you keep the adult fitted briefs dependably clean before
and after the willy-wonka ride home this evening - I will assure you
that if you are truthful about this maven whom you claim to be
representing  here on this forum - the questions will surely
embarass me and not you. They will not come in two or three parts or
require reductions or abstractions to answer. It will be childs play to
make a fool of me. Fair enough, Sir Loin?

Jul 15, 2005 3:53 am

are the questions going to be like what president is sin + cosign?

Jul 15, 2005 4:19 am

Beware, Mojo.  Put may answer with the ever so clever, “That depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.”  I just want you to be ready.

Dag nab it!  I just poured a new Coke, and now a mouthful is on my dad gum monitor...again!

Thanks for the laugh, Soothsayer.

He's sitting around trying to think of a witty rejoinder, but it's pill time at his adult day care center. After he takes his meds, he'll be sitting there, pointing and laughing, again.

Years ago I was interviewing a guy for a branch manager's job.  I was still very new at that role and I fell into a pathetic question when I asked him, "So what was the biggest mistake you've made in the business?"

He responded, "I'd have to think about the past, but I do know that in the present it would be if I answered that."  Then he grinned.

Tell me Roger, why in the world would I play a game of gotcha with you and Mojo?  Two guys who have no idea of what it's like to actually have a securities license are going to ask me questions about what I do?  Then decide if I answered the questions correctly?

I was born late at night, but it wasn't last night.

The "game" has been won by Stan Brown and me.  We have answered every question posed, you have answered precisely none of those we posed in return.

The readers know that, and the readers also know that I am the real deal while you are the....dare I say it.....the......oh schidt what the hell..........you're the failed planner.

Sounds like you were reading from a "how to interview" manual.

That's straight from a "how to" manual for interviewees, and it's a stupid answer, too.
Tell me Roger, why in the world would I play a game of gotcha with you and Mojo? I think you're afraid. I've made a fool out of you already this week. Your weak ego cannot handle two ass kickings in one week.
I was born late at night, but it wasn't last night.
What was her name? Did you ever find out?
The "game" has been won by Stan Brown and me. We have answered every question posed, you have answered precisely none of those we posed in return.
Stanwbrowneye, the one that asked for a fact finder??? Now you want to insult him further by claiming he's your buddy.

Have you seen how the vote is going? 62% think you're a failed planner, but 37% think every court needs a jester.

Roger, that was inane and vapid–but at least you didn’t use any emoticons.

I find it amusing that your vocabulary expands as I use new words you have never seen before.

That makes you a copy cat. How many times did you get beat up on the playground when you were growing up?

Can you count that high?

I alone am the one challenging you, Putsy.

Even the kids in the nose-bleed seats understand how it works. You and
I, mano a mano. The old “how do I know your friend aint gonna jump me
from behind” - only resonates when you aren’t on your home turf. Hey,
gladiator - this is your stadium…the one your people built. You’re a
friggin disapointment, son. Here I am at the gates of your forum,
alone, sitting astride a pink-plaided elephant, representing the scurge
of the financial industry  - ha ha - I am throwing my head back
and laughing at your impotence.

Hey Zero, stop torching your own city to hide the insecurity of
facing me in a friendly game of chance where the deck is stacked in
your favor. Your “people” shouldn’t have to suffer for their
self-appointed administrative Mayven (isnt it funny how I layer the
yiddish of your city into such natural insults?).

I know that you aren’t what you say you are, Putsy. A real emperor
would dispatch me with a flick of the wrist. Looks like the troll-pimp
hand is weak. How are you gonna keep the bichons in line if you let an
outsider in without paying tribute?

I was struck by a vision when you mentioned “the 3 lives that people
live” in your world – home, bus, and work – it was the bus life that
stung. How did it go - the momma on the bus who says her son is a
doctor but in the home life is really in prison convict.
Well Put, I am here to set you free from your forum life. I’ll make
sure to be gentle and don’t worry about the bus - I’ll pay the fare for
a nice cab home.

Fair enough?

Jul 15, 2005 6:54 pm

Putsy - I’ll give you until Monday at noon to agree to a simple game of
20 questions. You know how it works, right? I ask a closed ended
question and you are taxed to answer with a yes or no. It’ll be
candyland for you, Mr. SVP. You’ll be free from the risk of facing
those pesky interrogatives. I know you would not be worried that I’ll
force your exit to the Grammer and Punctuation forums. What would you
call youself - "Dangling Participle lV."

Putsy, that you ridicule and diminish the decisions for survival these
men and women make each day in our jungle, against merciless odds, only
hardens my resolve to make this quick and easy for you. I am marking
your domain. A leader must decide: Fight or Flight. This is the
territorial imperative.

Noon (you pick the standard time).

Dig, P-man?

Or what?

Jul 15, 2005 9:18 pm

Your option to play expires (even the kids on the southside  know what happens when the bell rings at school).

You know how the broken record of your life plays. Dog barking, flies
buzzing around the discarded cans of tuna in the trash (oil or water?),
and your high-pitched sobbing. It’ll probably raise a few eyebrows at
the next tenants meeting. Are you a Senior VP there, too?

Or what?

You’ll lose respect from everyone here and will be reduced to pandering
to only the newest kids fresh off the bus. You know? That looks very
similar to your current M.O.

I am sure most people expected you to take me up on my charitable offer
to earn some credibility and self-respect. That’s why they are silently
watching how you’ll handle my opportunity. Don’t squander another gift
to sit in the front of the bus.

Daylights burning. BTW, are you a white negro?

The insult sinks deeper…

I’m thinking he was a regular Doug Niedermyer back in 4th grade.
Probably learned to enlarge his Daddy can beat up your Daddy skills
even earlier.

It goes along with people using the collective “We” to rally
courage and having it create such nothingness. I am just trying to
raise the curtains on this production. As even the P-layer man would
admit “The show must go on.”
