Sure do. Ladenburg Thalmann was the premiere shlockhouse in the late 90's, housing over 500 producing brokers in a football field of an office. When the market sank, Ladenburg fired 80% of their workforce within days of each other. And with them went a number of successful brokers, many of whom ventured to start their own companies, one of whom was EKN, started by an old partner of Michael Lastehanos, the largest producer at Ladenburg.

I would advise you, strongly, to steer clear of EKN, or any other related firms.

Ladenburg is the same dump it was before, peddling transactional business under the guise of an old institution…
