I'm planning to move out west either SF or LA from NYC. Can anyone from the westcoast give me some tip what is like working out west? SF a better place to go?

Greenshoe-

I recently made the move from NY to San Diego, and my advice is this- F-ck  LA and SF, San Diego is RIDICULOUS.... You absolutely have to visit here and experience it..... This place is a playground...... 7th largest city in US, gorgeous people everywhere, its sunny here 87% of the year, rains only 9 inches a YEAR, the average temperature year round is 71 degrees, a wealthy area which is ideal ( obviously) for our business,etc,etc,etc.... Put it this way, I have been here 2 months, I live one block form the best party beach in SD, have  "closed the sale" with 6 SMOKING hot SD "residents", and you have to do no prospecting because they come up to you....  Come on out, we need more people from NYC out here...... PM me for more info......

I’ve honeslty got to say the SF area sucks right now.  We have not yet recovered from the economic down turn.  Home prices and rent are through the roof.  So you really need to understand the cost of leaving here.

Oh yea San Diago is great dude! $700k for a 2 bedroom 1 bath home. When the real estate bubble burst I can be upside down on my mortgage for generations to come. As compared to using the same U.S. currency as I did for my 3000 sq. ft. home in Atlanta for $275k. Yea baby!! Great palce.

Yeah DUDE !!! Surfs up bro, gnarly waves out there dude.!!! First
off, sounds like you’re a tip… Secondly, if you only look at one
factor when making a decision where to live, you can find a negative
everywhere… For instance, the weather in ATL is s–t, muggy during
summer and chilly in winter… And I doubt you live in a 3000 sq foot
home in ATL…More like in some podunk white trash suburb living in a
trailer, with an outdoor toilet that overflows, while having
intercourse with your sister…And its more like 1.2MM for 2BR/1BA in a
decent place like La Jolla… I will kill you on this post, leave it
alone…

That was a weak response, it made you look silly… I just read 3 PM’s
and they all said that your posts are always a joke… You should go
start your own website and post all day back and forth to
yourself…

"APPLYING"

Where is Stanbrown or Zacko when I need them. That word says it all bro.

You APPLY for a job where you wear a headset and say "Hey sure, would you like some fries or an apple pie with that?"

Sorta like the usual bank channel JOB!

Real question brother...come to Jesus time....do you want A JOB or do you want to BUILD A BUSINESS??????

I think I already know the answer.....

If you don't understand my answer, it's ok.  It's kinda like the Rolls Royce salesman used to say in the old days.....if you have to ask......

the more i think about it…the more i realize how retarded your post was…sad really that someone who could make a post that unintelligent might actually be a broker and advise people on their money. i guess it makes everyone’s else’s job just a bit easier

Some how I figured your reaction would be something like this.  Hey good luck at the bank....make sure you're nice to the other tellers!

Apr 1, 2005 6:15 pm

West coast is obviously very appealing because of the amount of wealthy people, especially out in L.A. in the entertainment business.  Some major downsides though are that you aren’t gonna be able to just walk around Malibu and meet Tom Cruise or Adam Sandler.  And if you do and try to hit them up for money management their bodyguard will treat you like any other pyscho fan.  Bottom line very high rent, distrustful people, and very very hard to actually connect with people in L.A. unless you have contacts.  Think long and hard before coming out, the opportunity is great but it is very hard.

Good job, draft pick…the original poster asked the question 21 months ago…I guess yiou think he’s quite slow to make a decision.
