Haha, and then you what?  Invite them and some friends to a "free" lunch and give them a short pitch?[/quote]

The whole goal was to have about 5-7 active fishbowls (Active as in people actually put cards in them.  These didn't include the ones you may have set up at the Chinese takeout place that has maybe 1 card every 6 months dropped in).  With that amount of bowls you should have 20 business cards dropped in each week.  Out of those 20 you should be able to set 8 lunches.  Out of those 8 lunches you should see 3 of them.  Out of those 3 you should get 30 leads.  Out of those 30 leads you should get 1 client.   Yea, whatever bowl they dropped the card is in the restaurant they'd get the lunch from.  If it was Subway then you'd take the food to their office.  If it was a sit down place then you met them at the restaurant.  Talk to them for a few minutes and if you did a good job then you'd have someone pull you aside and say something like "So, do you guys work with old 401(k)'s?"  or "You mentioned municipal bonds.  I have a pretty large ING account and its kinda just sitting there.  Would those bonds be a good place for some of that money?"  The best was when you'd get some clown who obviously has his own E-Trade account and "follows the trends" and would try challenging you during the lunch in front of his co-workers to look smart.
