Hi all,

I'm in the beginning stages of my career with EJ (passed 7, 66, selected location) but haven't reached my can-sell date yet (that'll happen in early June).

Things are going well with the company but I am having second thoughts on my location.  I'm on the east coast, and all my family is on the west coast, and I would like to be closer to them.  Has anyone had any experience switching locations at Edward Jones?  Since I don't have any clients, I feel like the transition would be easier, but I'd love to hear from anyone else who has been through it: Are RL's generally okay with people who want to transfer?  Is there a timeframe in which I should have this conversation (ie, before my can sell, after, etc)?  Are there any unknown issues that come up in the process / is there anything I should be mindful of?  Would very much appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

You have probably already figured this out by now. But if not, you should just ask them. If there is a spot available where you want to be, and you have contacts in the vicinity or can build a book there, I would think they’d be onboard.
