after I posted, and made a few grammatical errors I knew I was going to
be berated for it, sorry I don’t give a s—, I don’t take the time to
review it, b/c I have better things to do,  and I believe Reg.
Rep. said that Jones is not a wirehouse, also Jones does not want to be
considered as one either. And yes, I already knew that about Ray Jay
and LPL, just b/c Jones is not considered as any of the 3, doesn’t mean
that they have worse production than the independents, avg production
for a Jones broker is about 250k with around 37AUM, which is prob. more
than you’ll ever do

And for the record, I don’t have any problem with Jones, so don’t jump
on me in defense, I think they have a successful business model, and
some people would consider working with no other firm, and that is
great for them, however, I was simply stating that no, they do not on
avg have top producers like ML, when the top 200 producers in the firm
are below the avg at another firm that is not good.

Sidenote—I think jones is a heck of a lot better than Morgan Stanley, even though M.S. guys produce more

Gross is a meaningless number to a broker.  What really matters is net/net.  On average, 20%-25% of gross is a good number for take home.
Jones is a long time.  A good four years or longer.  Much longer than the national average.
Jonescapee,

I am not sure I know what you are talking about.

Rook4123,

I hope you are not from Edward Jones.  I agree with everything you say.  For example, "Edward Jones has a successful business model."  They have also THE BEST business model (right next to the Chinese restaurant.)  But, your writing skills have alot to be desired.  I am embarassed to be a colleague of yours.

Sincerely,

IH

If you say so, and I’m sure your smarter than me.  Also I write
fine, when I try. Like I said I dont try to impress you guys in here,
your not potential clients. And no I’m not with Jones, nor do I think
you are anymore. I have come to the conclusion your just someone who is
trying to stir sh-- up. Amusing but nevertheless, still annoying. If I
had to guess your probably a disgruntled broker who left EDJ b/c of
compliance issues, just trying to get a rise out of your buddies. I
could be wrong you could just be going heavy on the koolaid, lay off a
little buddy, it might help that erectile dysfunction…

sidenote IH I bet I’ll make more money than you this yr in my lame
sales job while taking a full load of classes than you will at Jones.
Sad but probably true. Nothing special between 40k and 50k.

You are probably right, rook4123.  However, my di*k is larger than yours without the koolaid.  I use viagra.
