Well said spam!

Jun 11, 2010 6:29 pm

navet - another tool from the same box.

spam - I knew you worked for Jones.  Which is why I thought it was weird that you said what you did.

Let me rephrase the question.  What is it about the company you work for that you would do differently if you ran the company yourself?

To the OP - tell people whatever you want about why you are leaving Jones.  If you have provided them with the level of service Jones preaches, they should move with you whether you have a better platform or not.

If it were me I'd say something like:

Mr. Client, EDJ is a fine company, but in an effort to better service my clients, I felt the need to move on to what I believe is a better situation for you, my business, and my family.  The level of service I have provided you while at EDJ will not change.  I promise you that.  In fact I'm going to work hard to improve it.  My hope is that we can continue to grow our relationship well into the future, regardless of the name on the door of my office.  Now, when can you come by to visit me in my new office?
Good choice but I would remove the words I noted as they serve no beneficial purpose in this message.

Spiff-

You are so full of crap you must beleive it. There was a time on these fourms I actually thought I was learning something. All you do is think you make me mad. If anything you prove my point everytime you hit the keyboard. If you are the kind of rep Jones covets, your firm is in more trouble than I thought.

When you start to forumulate your own thoughts...you will free yourself from yourself. Perhaps the webmaster would consider your constant diatribes cruel and unusual punishment for the rest of us and ban you from the forums.

Can you imagine...a business day without posting.
Perhaps the webmaster would consider it SPAM!

Man Spiff...  After your admission to being a trainer and your posts/post counts, I cant believe that your compensation/div trips/Ltd is not tied to this board.

Disclaimer:  I am not a Jones basher, but I am inclined to becoming a Spiff basher.

Jun 16, 2010 4:34 am

It does get old. His posts are always sooo long. I skip em now if they are over a couple 4 or 5 lines.

Jun 16, 2010 5:25 am

Either it is his job, or the force is STRONG in this one.

Jun 16, 2010 5:26 am

I choose the former rather than the latter, IMHO.

Jun 16, 2010 1:43 pm

You don't like my posts because I can form complete sentences?  Because I can then form those sentences into complete paragraphs?  I'm capable of thinking in a form other than one liners, so that makes my posts bad?

The thing about my long posts is that you know EXACTLY what I'm thinking at the end of them.  See, with posts like yours, I don't know whether you don't like my posts because you don't like to read anything other than comic books, or because you disagree with my commentary.  It leaves a lot to be construed by the reader.  In this case me.  And I'm still waffling between the former and the latter on you.

Jun 16, 2010 2:23 pm

I'll say it again....

Spiff-

Step away from the bong

Jun 16, 2010 2:45 pm

I thought you were done with me.  Miss me?

Jun 16, 2010 4:28 pm

I am trying to humor myself...it's a joke. Get a life.

Sounds like others are getting sick of you too.

Jun 16, 2010 5:19 pm

Spiff is a former failed middle manager. The comeback taught to middle managers is, if you don't like it, how would you change it? Complete newspeak manipulation. Put the problem on the victims shoulders, the one least likely to be able to do anything about it. Only said to shut the issue down. Spiff was given the task of spewing jones kool ade on this site.

Jun 16, 2010 6:21 pm

Wrong - please play again.

I've never held a management position at Jones.  While I did work in the home office for a few years, none of it was anything other than a team member.    I'm just another FA, just like you folks.  I found this site by accident a few years ago and discovered all of the anti-Jones sentiment that exists here.  I thought there needed to be someone who was willing to dish it out in the defense of Jones as there were obviously a lot of Jones bashers here already.

What victims are you talking about here?   Are you referring to Joel and N.D. as victims of my postings?

Joel - if you want to be a Spiff basher, bring it on.  You're not even in the same league as Cheese.  It gets pretty boring around here if there isn't someone vehemently disagreeing with me.

ND - Sorry, I realize you might not read this because it's like 6 sentences down the page, but I apologize in advance for posting some really long posts.  I promise it WILL happen in the future.

Jun 17, 2010 1:11 am

Its not that I mind the long posts as much as the fact these posts are you telling the same story over and over just different ways. It probably is not your fault as much as it is the fault of whinny soon to be ex-jonesies you are trying to convince that they should try it again on more time or your constant effort to defend Jones again and again. It is what it is so just let them bash if it gets it off their chest.

Jun 17, 2010 1:53 am

I've never held a management position at Jones. Jones mangagement is smarter than I thought.

I'm just another FA, just like you folks. Doubt it, We don't go home and tell the wife we worked hard today and posted 5 times.

You don't like my posts because I can form complete sentences?  Because I can then form those sentences into complete paragraphs?  If you are so damn smart why inject the word "then".

I thought there needed to be someone who was willing to dish it out in the defense of Jones as there were obviously a lot of Jones bashers here already.   Self-proclaimed drone...how sad. Did you ask Weddle for permission?

Joel - if you want to be a Spiff basher, bring it on.  You're not even in the same league as Cheese. I do believe I received the highest praise in the Jones system now... Thanks.

I promise it WILL happen in the future.  Oooh....I am so worried. I will brace mysellf for the onslaught.

Oh yeah. Now it's time for the classic response....

I'm not angry with you.  I was simply making a joke at your expense.  We know....3000 posts in 4 years. You should be GP soon, that's dedication!

I've never held a management position at Jones. Jones mangagement is smarter than I thought. - I never applied for a management position.  I knew after a few years that I would rather be an FA than a Team Leader.

I'm just another FA, just like you folks. Doubt it, We don't go home and tell the wife we worked hard today and posted 5 times. - My five posts might have taken 15 minutes out of my day.  Even if were half an hour, I still have lots of time to get the work done that I need to get done.

You don't like my posts because I can form complete sentences?  Because I can then form those sentences into complete paragraphs?  If you are so damn smart why inject the word "then". - Old habits die hard.  My college professor tried to break me of that habit too.

I thought there needed to be someone who was willing to dish it out in the defense of Jones as there were obviously a lot of Jones bashers here already.   Self-proclaimed drone...how sad. Did you ask Weddle for permission? - Weddle wasn't in charge 4 years ago.  Doug never told me to stop.

Joel - if you want to be a Spiff basher, bring it on.  You're not even in the same league as Cheese. I do believe I received the highest praise in the Jones system now... Thanks. - You're welcome.

Jones is a good company, but not a great company. Their niche is basically as a bottom feeder. They take almost anyone as a customer and almost anyone as an FA. Can you be very successful at Jones? Sure. But bottom feeding causes a certain lack of confidence that leads to kool-ade type of personality problems. Same thing I see with a lot of born agains'. Thus we are subject to comments from folks like spiffy, who are so unsure of themselves and their company that they feel threatened by negative comments.

If you work 350 days a year, you are posting almost 9 a day. You are a terrible time waster and as Navet say so perfectly...

Looks like others are done with your crap too.

Jun 17, 2010 9:10 pm

How do you get to 9 posts per day?  Don't you work with numbers all day long?  Do your clients know your math skills are so sub-par?

Using your numbers:

350 days (BTW, who works 350 days a year?) of posting X 4 years = 1400 days I could have posted.  3000/1400 = 2.14 posts per day.  That's a whole lot less than 9.  Now, if I had joined a year ago and put up 3000 posts, then your math would be correct.  However, it's not.

Using my numbers:

4 years X 12 months X 20 selling days a month average = 960.  3000/960 = 3.125.

Either way, not a huge chunk of time out of my day.  The way I see it, nobody comes to the Reg Rep forums for anything other than a diversion from the daily grind of this biz.  We can make believe that we're here to learn something, but we all know that you can probably learn as much if  you took the top producer in your branch or region to lunch than you can trolling these forums.  It's the equivalent of a corporate lunchroom or water cooler.  We may ask a serious question from time to time, but mostly it's just to blow off some steam.  So, if they're that concerned about the amount of their time that I'm wasting with my long posts, perhaps they should stop wasting time on the forums altogether.

Navet - by "born agains" I'm assuming your referring to Christians.  I shouldn't, but I'll spare you my diatribe on faith.  I'm fairly confident I'd be wasting everyone's time.  Especially my own.
