I am sure it does work in the small cities because quite frankly what major

firm is prospecting in these small cities (Under 15,000). Problem with Jones

is their model does not work in the large cities. These same large cities

where what 70% of the wealth is maintained? The fact that Jones dominates

in the smaller cities may be o.k. today. But the question is once the next big

wealth transfer takes place will Jones be on the receiving end of these

dollars? We will see.

Door knocking works, like seminars, cold calling, and anything else. It all just depends on you. It doesn’t matter whether it is a big city, or small town. People are people, some of my largest accounts came from door knocking. Usually every year, I go door knocking the first warm day in spring, more just to enjoy the outdoors, but I still pick up an account every once in awhile. When I was new though I did 4 out of 5 days a week. I usually knocked on their door and invited them to a seminar, and presented a cd rate sheet. Great account opener, that you never know will it where lead. Go to and we’ll train you, assuming you get hired. Good luck.
