Firm to work for

Mar 12, 2015 7:03 am

I am working as a sales rep for a well-known firm now. The fees that they are charging are quite high. I have been working for about 5 years. But still as of today, most of my commission goes to cover the fees. So looks like I have been the one working and the firm has been the one collecting the money.

I would like to know if every firm charges about the same amount of fees. I have been thinking about to switch firms for a few years but I do not even how to start the process. Are there any firms that are known for charging low fees to their reps?

I have always received phone solicitation from the web recruiters who pitched high percentage payout to the reps. Are they believable and reliable?

Advice please.

Let me elaborate on the fees. I am getting about a total of $10,000 commission per year now. First of all, I have to split it with the firm. So they took $5,000 from it immediately. And then most of the $5,000 supposed to go to me is used to pay for the fees charged by the firm. Therefore, only about $2,000 really goes to my pocket eventually. As a result, I am only getting about 20% of the commission from my work.
