Commonwealth Brokerage

I have been with amerirpise for 13 years but have been having painful compensation issues for awhile and have seen a fee structure that takes a great deal of my money. I have been looking into Commonwealth as a possible alternative, but I know nothing outside of Amerprise so if I switch B/D's I want to make sure it is the right move. Feel free to post opinions and experiences with either brokerage platform, also does anyone have independent review material comparing various brokerage platforms?
