RIA vs Mass Mutual

I started at UBS during the dot.com era. I went to Golden Gate University to obtain credentials in on-line trading. Moved my business to a small B/D then went RIA independent. Though the dot.com era is over, I am still someone who seeks a firm to offer wealth management, independent investment advise and perhaps alternative investments. I am being interviewed by Mass Mutual. Great integriety of this company. Please provide pros and cons of moving to a company such as Mass Mutual. My business as RIA did not grow as I thought it would. My thought is learn more about the insurance side but remain drawn to investments and retirement/investment planning.
