Wish me luck!
Well guys (and the sporadic gal), I take the S7 tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!
Does anybody have any last-minute advice?Make sure you get at least 175 answers right. Sorry, get a good nights sleep, eat breakfast (not a big one) and read carefully. Good luck!
LOL. And I do know about the ‘read carefully’ bit. I’ve been stung a time or two in practice exams because I raced through a question and missed a key differentiating point.
You really will have lots of time if you read carefully.
I wrote down the numbers of the questions that I was doubtful about on the scratch paper so I could go back and review. Maybe they have a computer system where you can do that now? It was a while ago. Often the questions that you are doubtful about will be answered by another question later in the test. Like Primo said. Get lots of rest and eat a light breakfast. After the test get really really drunk whether you pass or not. You deserve it. Good luck. How did you do on the practice curriculum?
If you are with Jones and doing relatively well on the practice tests you are golden, I think i got an 84-85% on the series 7, the 66 was a little tougher, I eaked it with a 73%!
Good luck! They have 2 sets of practice exams. The first one they say is significantly tougher than the real test - they say score a 60% on it or better. I got a 76%. The last test was supposed to be very close to the real thing and I got an 86% on it. Overall chapter exams running 88%.
Your an easy upper 80’s maybe in the 90’s
Relax... But I will say that the memory sheet for the formulas that jones reccomends to create was VERY helpful for trickier acct. formulas.maybe he is out getting drunk?
DC you nailed it! I got a 91%!
If anyone cares, the stats I got back showed the average score is 73%, and only 66% of test takers are currently passing.
There really were no surprises on it. A lot of focus on options, and muni bonds, but that was what I anticipated.
Waiting for the score was 30 of the most excruciating seconds of my life.
Drinks are on me!
Congratulations
Today he drinks to celebrate… Six months from now, he’ll drink to forget!
Man that’s awesome, congrats!!!
…Told ya, now tell my new and prospective clients of my uncanny abilities to forecast the future and we both will be set (just kidding)
Congrats! DCCongratulations, now the hard work starts.
Thanks, buzzkil… er, I mean, Primo. (<-- they really ARE gay, aren’t they?)
3-5 years of pain, then a lifetime of joy. Better?
Are you talking about divorce or this job?
LOL. My dad once said he’d never get remarried. He’d just go out every 4 or 5 years, find a woman he hates, and buy her a house.
no divorce is 3-5 minutes of joy when you realize you don’t have to deal with her anymore, then a lifetime of pain as you pay alimony and no one else will marry her.
Man I hope I never endure that. This year is 15 for us and still going strong.
Either that, or I've simply lost my will to live.Source URL:https://www.wealthmanagement.com/forums/rookies-trainees/wish-me-luck
