Series 7 Random Question

I worked for a brokerage firm in the past year and they sponsored me for my series 7.  I failed 3 times (long story).  I took a position in their back office.  However, I am still wanting to get my series 7 and have a good friend who claims he can get me a job at his firm.  

If I take a position at the firm he works for, will they be able to see I have attempted the series 7 previously?  

I don't want to deceive anyone and would disclose if asked, but it could prevent me from getting a new job.
