hi folks
great site i am thinking of becoming a FA in the new year and have a question on commison. if you are self employed and you dont charge fees how are inital and trailer commissions calculated thanks scubaDec 29, 2007 12:56 am

You should be asking questions like: How can I help a lot of people and get them to buy SOMETHING from me so I will get paid? No signatures = no income, no matter HOW the commissions are calculated.[/quote] i better expand on the question i asked i while back. i am a broker in the uk and have sold my business. i will be moving to boston in jan and plan to setup on my own once i have all the necessary exams fully completed. i would like to know if commsions in the us are calclated the same as in the uk i.e upfront commsion paid by insurance company for new biz followd by a yearly renewal for the life of the policy assuming that your not charging a fee.Dec 30, 2007 10:18 pm
