Fund accountant vs Financial Planner

Hi all,

I am currently working as a Fund Accountant at a Bank. It has been only 3 months and I already hate this job. I am thinking to switch my career trajectory to Financial Planning. Reason for the possible switch is that in Fund Accountant job, its all about crunching numbers and looking at the computer like zombie all day long. I like to intereact with different people. Therefore, Financial Planning career seems to be right FIT for me.

As per my little google research, financial planning involves dealing with clients, listerning to their financial stories and formulating custom plans for them. This sounds appealing to me.

Please provide an insight in the Financial Planning career. What a day in a Financial Planner looks like? How can I start the first step in that direction? What are the requirements?

Thanks in advance.
