Another Question about EJ

If I do take the position w/EJ pass all my exams and SB comes back with an offer would they come after me or is it ok to take another position with a financial firm before eval/grad??

I’ve received my offer and paper work and I can’t seem to find where it would say they come after you for training costs.

Nothing personal, but your inability to make a professional commitment to one firm or the other, does not portend a favorable outcome to your career. Go to SB and tell them you’d rather work for them and that they have (certain time period) days to hire you or else you’ll go to EDJ. If SB doesn’t hire you within that time period, thank them for their consideration anyway and make a commitment to work for EDJ 2 or 3 years minimum.

In the early '90's, when I started in this business, I interviewed several times with a preferred firm (ML) in my preferred location. The BOM couldn't make up his mind. I finally went to my second choice of firms (Dean Witter) in my second choice of location. Guess who called 3 days into my training at DW? He was surprised I had been interviewing at other firms. I thanked him for his consideration and told him it was too late, that I was sticking with DW.

Finally a sound approach to this topic. Or another option , called the other firm and advise you have been extended an employment offer by another firm and you are wondering where your application stands.
