I have two associates in my team both of which have taken the 66 three times and have yet to pass it. One is a 30 year veteran of the industry and the other a college educated, 1 1/2 year vet. Both have studied over a hundred hours and they can't pass that test!!

What is the story with that exam! Are we trying to keep people out of the industry. I am a 37 year vet and I find this very frustrating. What is the solution to get this done ie. vendor, crams, tutoring. They will do what it takes but the scores continue to come back about the same.

Does anybody have advice? Help is appreciated.

I would love to see what the pass rate is for the 66 and the 65. NASAA hold that close to their chest it would seem.

Training Consultants & a LOT more than 100 hours. You really gotta know your stuff.

Score 80s on simulated exams through Kaplan consistently and do Training Consultant's Program.

As of October 1st of 2018, anyone interested in becoming a financial advisor, will have to take and pass the securities industry essentials (SIE) exam and a representative level exam such as the series 6 or the series 7 exam. This applies to you if you opened your window with FINRA on or after October 1st, 2018. You do not need to be sponsored for the SIE but you will have to be sponsored for the top off exams (series 6,7, etc).

If anyone is interested in getting a discount on Kaplan materials for the securities industry essentials (SIE) exam , the series 7 exam and other exams such as the series 6, 63, 65 and 66 exams, you can use the link below:

My GPA at the University was over 3.3 and experience doing sales is quite good, I think, and I had issues with the 66. But I was determined and what I did was just attack it....I used both, Kaplan and TC question sets...almost 5000 questions....the 66 did not stand a chance. It was my version of shock and awe.

The only vendor that I know of who offers materials for this exam would be Solomon Exam Prep.

Any one who would like to work with a tutor for the series 6, 7, 63, 65, 66 and the SIE, can go to http://www.series7examtutor.com
